Ah the frustration

In years past, January and February have been my favorite months. That was because I worked at a year-round school here in Southern California, and these two months were half of my vacation. Recently I moved to a new school, and the purpose of opening this new school was to relieve crowding in the existing schools, in other words allow us to all move to a traditional calendar.

So now, instead of being a lady of leisure, I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off, trying to cram all the normal things that post holidays bring to this household in with working full time.

I suppose this wouldn't ordinarily be a problem, but there's one tiny catch. Having do do all this with sad "boys" in my head is quite a challenge.

I am in the process of writing a sequel for The King's Tale and without giving anything away all I will reveal is that Dafydd and Christopher are ....apart at this juncture of the story. Not forever, but right now they're suffering. The "apart" time is hard to write under the best of circumstances, but piecing it together patchwork style like this is killing me. Every night when I can't sleep they boys jump ahead to the reconciliation. I scream at them "Stop it!!! I won't remember all this when the time comes to write your tender scenes!"

Unfortunately I'm stalled yet another week, as we are promised out of town for the Super Bowl. I guess my notebook will have to suffice for the time being as I write notes on yet another gem from Christopher.

*sigh*

The reconciliation is always so tempting! I feel you. Good luck with all your unexpected busy-ness!

Thanks! I'm sure it will all work out, it's just frustrating at the moment!
